I never promised....

...that i wouldn't suck.

My post today is an abbreviated one, because i just have so much going on today!  Rachel and I have our big fundraiser Gala tonight, and we basically are both bat shit crazy at this point.  And now, with the threat of thunderstorms tonight for our partially outdoor event, we are cranking the crazy train all the way up to 11.

This is where i shall stay until tomorrow.
So, i only have one first world problem for today, but its a doozey.

Back during my winning streak, i won a Mission 5 hour anti-chafe stick from Amanda at TooTallFritz. By the way, this thing is awesome.  It has become a permanent resident of my running bag (which is consequently a reusable bag from target. Because i am poor, and kind of trashy.)  I cleaned out that bag last night because it was starting to smell like socks, knowing that i would not have time to run today (which totally sucks).  Then, i proceeded to get absolutely no sleep because Matt is sick, and was up all night coughing and sniffling.  Then, i woke up in a zombie like state, walked the dog, got rained on, and was in a rush to get to work (all while going through 8 million emails relating to tonights event).  In all this chaos, i totally put on anti-chafe instead deodorant.

But thats not even the real problem!  The real issue is that i didn't freaking notice until i am half way to work, sweating in my humidity filled car, slowly realizing that my arm keeps slipping as i move it to steer my car.  AND, i didn't bring my bag, which normally has my actual deodorant, because i'm not running today!

So, if you need a laugh, just think of me.  Sitting at my desk.  With greased up, super slick armpits.  Because i suck at day to day living.  Sigh.

First World Problems.

  3. Thanks for the laugh. That could happen to me someday as I store my BodyGlide next to the deodorant. Although, I am more likely to apply deodorant to chafed areas (as opposed to the other way around) as I am usually half asleep before I run.

  4. I think I may have almost done this a time or two. I know that there have been days where I have forgotten deodorant and brushing my teeth before work.

I hope you have excellent weather tonight! You have worked so hard :)

  6. Oh man. I HATE when I forget deodorant. And, yes, I've done it. I've also forgotten to put on make-up, brush my teeth, and eat breakfast. I hate mornings.

  11. LOVE that Mission Anti-Chafe. I'm wondering how I lived without it prior to now. I ordered 2 more with the discount code.

    Good luck tonight!
